Frequently asked questions

What are the driver requirements for Bolt?

Bolt, like other passenger transport apps, requires drivers to have a valid Polish driving license, a certificate of no criminal record, medical and psychological tests, and – depending on the city – a taxi ID.

Bolt regularly runs promotional campaigns that allow drivers to earn additional bonuses. Bonuses are awarded for factors such as the number of rides completed, app registration, and time spent online in the system.

Driver verification typically takes 1 to 2 business days, though this time may be longer depending on the volume of requests. The first step is to submit your documents to Bolt, then complete an in-person verification at a Bolt location in your city.

For several years now, Bolt has limited online time to 12 hours. After that, you have to take a break and go offline for a few hours before you can log in again.

You get paid every Monday for the previous week. Bolt and FreeNow count the week from Monday to Sunday, and Uber also includes the first four hours of Monday – so night rides after midnight also count towards your paycheck.
